We recommend the use of cannulas as these may cause less bruising, swelling and redness than needles. Bruising, swelling, and redness are more expressed (1 hour after treatment), which could cause the patient some discomfort or distress. This redness is much more pronounced with sharp needles and a multipuncture technique compared with the use of a blunt microcannula fanning technique (p<0.05).2
The SmartClick system is designed to provide dosing consistency and pinpoint accuracy during your treatments. There is an audible dosage indicator which tells you when ~10 μL of microdroplets have been delivered. The click repeats every 10 μL so you can dose accurately while keeping your full attention on the patients’ skin and not looking at the markings on the syringe. You can easily switch the dosing indicator if different quantities are required which adds to the versatility of the treatment. Due to the high number of injection points, it is recommended to use the SmartClick system with anaesthetic cream.
